It's that time of year, the founders of SIRSOCK™ are heading to various parts of the globe to source trending designs and styling. Possibly sneak in some holiday time as well.
This year, Steve will be in Italy checking the latest dapper trends in Naples, Capri, Positano, and the most of the Amalfi Coast.
Tristan is heading back in Tokyo, checking the summer suiting and urban styles of Shibuya, Roppongi and Ginza.
What a perfect time to share 5 must-do tips when travelling for business:
1. Join an airport lounge
No better way to start, transfer, and end a journey, than check-in and relax in an airport lounge. It is worth climbing the tiers of flyer status, or even using some points to buy a club membership.
2. Keep your look sophisticated
Magic happens to those that dress well. Like that open seat in Business, that needs a fine looking gentleman to look after it. All the stories from friends that have been bumped up, claim that dressing well helped by 99%. Also dress for the flight, something comfortable yet classy.
3. Invest in quality headphones
Earbuds wont cut it here. Jets are loud, especially when you are trying to sneak some sleep on the long haul. So think noise cancelling to hide the engine sound, wireless so you don't tangle when sleeping, and quality so you can DJ on takeoff and landing.
4. Don't get too excited in duty free
Buy things at the destination, not the airport before you leave. Yes the prices are cheap, but you can easily find unique and quality items at your destination. Keep your boarding luggage light and enjoy quick movement through checkpoints. Nothing worse than having to open bags to show the 3litres of vodka that you will leave behind anyway....
5. Keep your feet fresh
On a long haul flight, personally I kick the shoes off. Nothing better than a pair of combed-cotton socks to see you through. I generally keep a second pair in my hand luggage and change over on landing. Ready to dominate the boardroom meetings, while knowing my sock game is on-point.
